CPR Courses

The Franklin Lakes Volunteer Ambulance Corps regularly hosts AHA Heartsaver CPR courses at our building. These courses are free to residents of Franklin Lakes and provide a CPR certificate valid for two years. Additionally, we host BLS for Healthcare Providers courses. Please check our Facebook page for course date announcements. If you have a large group of individuals who would like to take a CPR course, please contact us!

BLS for Healthcare Providers — American Heart Association
The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Heartsaver CPR AED — American Heart Association

The Heartsaver CPR AED course teaches CPR, Choking, and AED skills for adults, children and infants. You will learn  how to give compressions and breaths to an infant, child, and adult, how to relieve a choking victim, and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). This is an excellent course for:

  • Coaches
  • Child care workers
  • Camp counselors
  • Youth group leaders
  • Foster care workers
